Bukchon Hanok Village, Seoul, South Korea, 30th of June 2015
My entire life I live in Belgium, but I was born in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, the 7th biggest city of the world. In the end of 2014 I said to myself, I have to go at least once back to my country of origins.
So in the end of 2014 I booked my 1st plane ticket (!). Before this trip I only travelled in Europe, mostly by bus or car. The end of June, 2015 I arrived back in Seoul, the city where I was born.
For an adoptee it is always a bit special to return to the place they were born.
After 4 days walking among my ” korean brothers and sisters ” I felt how it feels to be white in Belgium.
